“The bicycle is one of the most precious objects, if not the most, for any cyclist. Taking care of it and keeping it in perfect condition allows us to make the most of it and enjoy it more.
Cleaning is essential, especially if you are driving off-road with your mountain bike, gravel bike or cyclocross. Removing mud and dirt from the frame and components after each use is often a hassle, as well as complicated at times.
Thanks to pressure washers, cleaning and washing the bicycle is easy, fast and effective. Liquishot 25.3, the model we have tested, helps you in this task and also has many other qualities that make it unique.
Slovenian quality
Many of you may not be familiar with this brand as it is quite new, although it is backed by Kolektor’s almost 60-year history. This international industrial group based in Slovenia, Europe specializes mainly in automotive components.
However it is also expanding to new fields through its various brands, one of them is Liquishot.
In the development that lasted about two years, professional mechanics from Slovenia and Belgium, as well as teams such as the UAE Team Emirates of Tadej Pogačar participated. Their contribution has been essential to improving the product from the prototypes to its release to the market.
The result has been Liquishot 25.3. A small, lightweight, high-performance and cordless hydro cleaner. Handy and portable, this model is suitable for cleaning bicycles as well as other vehicles and surfaces (motorcycles, cars, boats…).
Manageable and practical
Its compact size and low weight (only 1.3 kilos). As a result it allow us to use it comfortably with one hand. In addition, as it does not need to be connected to electricity, it provides more freedom of movement to the user, who can use it even if there is no power outlet nearby.
It is not even necessary to connect it to a water supply. The hose can be used to draw liquid from a river or lake. Thanks to its practical folding basin, if you’re out on an off-grid camping trip, you can take water like this, put a few drops of detergent or degreaser in it and clean your bike wherever you go. Its suction capacity is up to 3 meters high.
This pressurized water sprayer has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 5 Ah and a voltage of 18V. This provides a usage time of at least 17 minutes at maximum power (and up to 300 minutes at minimum power). Which is more than enough to clean not one, but several bicycles.
The battery is fast charging (about 50 minutes), is removable to make it easier to do so. It is worth mentioning that the Liquishot has a charge indicator on its ergonomic handle.
Cleaning power
The performance of its electric motor is very good. We will not give you much technical information about it, we will only tell you that it has an advanced technology pump that allows it to provide professional performance and great reliability.
Without excessive vibrations and silence, this spray gun provides a working pressure of up to 25 bar and a flow rate of up to 3 litres per minute. Both progressively adjustable through the rear wheel. It can even be used with other liquids (detergents or oils) and with maximum temperatures of 60°.
Liquishot 25.3 allows you to select different types of jets and their intensity. You can even attach accessories to the water outlet to reach the smallest corners. This makes cleaning more effective depending on which component you direct the spray at.
The union of the nozzles with the body of the gun is perhaps the only weak point we have seen. When regulating the jet with them on, if you turn it to the same side to which the nozzle itself unscrews, you can unintentionally remove it, so be careful when doing so.
Price
More details that we liked about the Liquishot 25.3 are its small but practical built-in LED light, which allows it to be used in places with poor visibility; the option to release the finger during operation; and its sturdy plastic case, which makes it easy and convenient to carry anywhere.
Unlike most competitors in the market, this sprayer offers more. More power, autonomy and features with less weight and size, which speaks clearly of its quality.
The Liquishot 25.3 pressure washer is only sold online through the brand’s official website. It is priced at 690 euros and currently includes a complete free accessory kit (different nozzles, a very convenient folding basin…) valued at 105 €.
This is a significant outlay that not all cyclists will take advantage of. If you are an occasional user, you may not be able to afford it. In case you are a regular MTB, gravel and CX rider or if several people ride at home, for stores, or teams, it can be a good long-term investment.
